Drawing on the illustrious history of the great panorama paintings of the 18th and 19th centuries, The Velaslavasay Panorama is an exhibition hall, theatre and garden dedicated to the production and presentation of unusual visual experiences, including those of the 360-degree variety. Our venue, located at the historic Union Theatre, retains the charm and distinction of neighborhood cinema houses from the early 20th Century. Built in 1915, the building and overgrown, tropical garden gives visitors a sense of a place lost in time.
Rentals range from private birthday parties, wedding ceremonies and receptions, to full film shoot rentals. Our venue is comprised of five parts:

The neon marquee and historic theater facade.

The theatre space, including exhibits, stage, stadium seats, lobby and restrooms.

Private offices with a kitchen (not for catering use), backstage dressing room, and computer access.

The garden featuring a grotto, fountain, gazebo, and foliage.

The parking lot, suitable for 3 vehicles and loading in equipment, for food trucks to park and serve, for large banquet dinning, for an extended dance floor and other such fancies.
Our theatre space comes equipped with a projector, an affixed silver screen, microphone amplification, outdoor speakers, dimmable mood lighting, up to three spotlights, a podium and pointer, a piano and fixed theatre seats.
We offer a list of vendors by request who are familiar with our space and have proved successful in the past, but are not required. Although we only offer street parking for guests and attendees, valet services are available for hire in the neighborhood.
